FSG named Leading Innovators in Food Packaging Sustainability 2021 in the Midlands Enterprise Awards

We're delighted to announce that we have recently been named as the Leading Innovators in Food Packaging Sustainability 2021 in the Midlands Enterprise Awards, hosted by SME News.

With sustainability at our core, we have been creating, manufacturing and sourcing reusable takeout packaging, adapted melamine dinnerware, plastic drinkware and displayware since our origin in 2009.

This year is the fourth instalment of the Midlands Enterprise Awards and symbolises the hard work, dedication, and effort that small to medium organisations across the Midlands have applied throughout the challenges faced in the midst of the COVID19 pandemic, as Dean Taylor, Programme Coordinator at SME News goes onto explain.

“Our awards help to shine a light on a vastly diverse range of exciting and innovative businesses and industries based in the UK’s heartland,”

“We aim to accurately represent the ‘crème de la crème’ of business throughout the Midlands. As they say, ‘the cream rises to the top’ and when faced with the challenges that the COVID-19 pandemic has brought, this has never been more fitting,”

“The team at FSG should be extremely proud as this award is a real testament to them, their resilience and their commitment to food packaging sustainability.”

Our Managing Director, Lynn Johnson is delighted with the win, especially after the last 12 months. “We were over the moon to have been named as the winners of this category. It’s fantastic to be recognised in a category that directly correlates with our business values and aims,”

She continues “The last 12 months have been tough for us, as they have been for most organisations so good news like this, is a real boost for us. As a small business, it’s easy to be overlooked so the platform that the Midlands Enterprise Awards has given us is much appreciated,”

“Saving the planet is not something any one of us can do alone, but everyone can do something. We need to work together and collaborate in order to raise awareness of the small changes we can all make to transform mass behaviours and their resulting effects,”

“We cannot stand apart; we must all come together and be a part of a collective that will impact environmental change forever.”
